Haha alright, lame title

I've been doing a lot of thinking lately and I think I've decided on my next dog breed.
The Whippet.
From what people have suggested, and what I've read they definitely seem to fit my lifestyle. Almost everyone I've talked to says that they actually make good apartment dwellers, which is good because I'm pretty sure I'll still be in an apartment in a few years. They just seem like the dog for me. I probably won't be getting another dog for a couple years anyways, but I wanted to do my research now and maybe contact some possible breeders. There are several decent ones in Canada, and I think 2 or 3 that are pretty damn close to me.

So I told my mom about my thoughts on Whippets and she was like "Wow really? Your Grandpa wanted a Whippet for the longest time. He researched the breed and always talked about one day owning a Whippet". This I think is so awesome. My Grandpa passed away when I was 6 so I hardly remember him He sounds like a pretty awesome guy who I would have gotten along with really well. I even have his eyes ^^ (My mom and sister both have really dark brown eyes.. I think the fact that my "dad" had green eyes helps too but I don't like to talk about him.) Anyways. Now I'm even more stoked.


On a side note, I am being broiled alive in my apartment. My baseboard heaters were acting all funky for a while. They were constantly running. But now they're working fine again. And I have them shut off, but oh my god I am still dieing! Its been so damn hot here lately and I get the morning sun. I have my ceiling fan running constantly and three little desk fans running all day to try to cool the place down. But its not very "green" (sure it could be worse if I had AC.. but right now I'm really wishing I had it O.o) and apparently not very affective because when I came home today it was 92 degrees in my place O.o
I keep Chewy in his crate during the day because he likes to cause havoc when I'm not home xD So I put a fan on him during that day so he doesn't die (which he hates by the way). It's almost 2 am and it's 86 degrees still! I'm sitting here in like the least amount of clothes possible without being nude xD
I think I'm going to go the Canadian Tire and buy some bamboo blinds this weekend. If I can figure out how to get there on the bus O.o They have a bunch of sizes and they're pretty cheap (I think the largest one was like $20 and it is something like 64" X 72")


There's only 2 1/2 weeks of classes left until summer break (which is only 2 weeks long ) I'm really depressed about that, it really sucks. I wouldn't mind being in school longer if it meant I could have 3 solid months off of school. I could at least get a job and work hardcore, maybe start saving up so I can pay off student loans ya know? But nope, my school has to be retarded that way. And they're starting morning classes a half hour earlier too! Ugh xD
